New Summer Flights from Miami International Airport to Eagle Airport start in June 2010
Edwards, CO - April 1, 2010 - The EGE Air Alliance announced today a new flight for the summer season from Miami International Airport (MIA) into Eagle Airport (EGE) located in Gypsum, Colorado. The flight is non-stop on the inbound, with one-stop in Denver on the outbound and will operate weekly on Saturdays from June 12 through August 21, 2010.
The new service from Miami represents a growth market both for business to the Vail Valley frm Florida and connecting Latin and South American markets. Additionally, Miami and South Florida are great destination markets from the Vail Valley for locals in the summer season.
"We are pleased to offer this non-stop flight from Miami to the Vail Valley on American Airlines" says Kent Myers, President of Airplanners LLC, who directs the air service programs for the EGE Air Alliance. "This new flight allows our guests from Florida and Latin America to escape the heat and enjoy our temperate mountain summers."
The flight from Miami is indicative of the EGE Air Alliance's continued dedication to expanding air service into the Vail Valley during the summer months. Myers attributes the success of the program to the Eagle County Commissioners, town governments, Beaver Creek Resort Company and private businesses that support the program. "Without the support of these organizations, air service to the Eagle Airport would not be what it is today", Myers explains.
The Miami flight provides one-stop connections to Eagle Airport from cities including Atlanta, Buenos Aires, Charlotte, Key West, Nassau, Orlando, Providenciales, Rio del Janeiro, San Jose, San Juan, Santiago, Santo Domingo, Sao Paulo and Tampa.
The Eagle Airport is currently served in the summer months with three daily flights from Denver International Airport (DEN) on United Airlines and one daily 757 flight to and from Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW) on American Airlines from June 10 through September 29.
